I’m totally psyched to be flying to DC in a few weeks to present at the Conversations and Connections Conference at American University on April 15.

The conference is hosted by American University’s MFA program and generously supported by some of my favorite literary magazines (Barrelhouse and The Sun).

I’ll be talking about the use of persona in poetry, and how fantastic a tool persona can be…I mean why do we always have to write from the lyric “I” in our poems?

I can’t wait to meet DC area writers and see family DMV metroplex!
